I'm a self-hoster with a small rack of opinions: own your data, keep your dependencies countable on one hand, and document the machine you built before you forget why.

This site is a notebook. Entries get written when something breaks in an interesting way or works after three false starts. Topics rotate between Linux plumbing, home servers, backup paranoia and the occasional detour into audio tools.

Plain HTML and one stylesheet, written by hand and served as-is. No JavaScript, no web fonts, no analytics, no comment section to moderate. Works in every browser I keep around, including the really old ones.
